A teachable moment about the bias of the media, in this case, WTMJ News
This is from one of our good friends who attended the rally with his son. Teachable moment, worth sharing with your friends, especially those with children.
My 15-year-old son CJ’s favorite (speech) of Saturday afternoon was the old fire-baller himself: Tommy Thompson.
The high point of the speech was Tommy shrugging out of his sport coat and turning his back on the crowd. The red and white Badger jersey Tommy had on underneath had a Badger “W” on the back. Tommy asked the crowd “Do you know what the “W” stands for?” He did not hesitate to spin around and yell “We Win! That’s what the ‘W’ stands for! We WIN!!!!!!!”
They really do not make ‘em like Tommy anymore.
(WRD NOTE: he also screamed, "the W also stands for Walker, and it stands for Wisconsin!!!" He was on FIAH!)
By the way, heading home on Saturday, we listened to WTMJ report “a few hundred people showed up for the Walker rally.” CJ & I both spluttered “What!? There were thousands there!” That gave me a teaching moment with the young lad…the role of the liberal media. His indignation at this outright lie was worth the trip from Lake Mills to Tosa and back.
