29 judges in Wisconsin have signed a petition to support the recall of Gov. Scott Walker in the likely upcoming recall election.
More than two dozen Wisconsin judges from 16 counties, including Bayfield and Sawyer counties, were among the tens of thousands of people who signed petitions to recall Gov. Scott Walker, according to a newspaper analysis.
The review by Gannett Wisconsin Media found that 29 judges, or about 12 percent of the state’s approximately 250 county-level judges, signed the petition, the Sheboygan Press reported Sunday. Milwaukee County had the most judges sign the petition at 11, or about one-fourth of judges in the county.
Mark Levin’s Landmark Legal Foundation, has filed a complaint, calling for an investigation into the 29 judges for violating Wisconsin’s Code of Judicial Conduct. The code of conduct states that these 29 judges are improperly engaging in partisan political activity. Basically becoming activist judges.
Mark Levin filed the complaint today and it has yet to be addressed.
