This upcoming primary election is a bit under the radar, so just a reminder to please vote, and tell all your conservative friends to vote, on Tuesday, Feb. 19th for incumbent Supreme Court Justice Patience "Pat" Roggensack.
While there will be tremendous attention to the April general election--the unions will be pouring in boatloads of money to try to swing the Court to a Left-leaning majority--first things first. This primary has three candidates, 2 lefty hacks and Roggensack, and the top two will advance to April. We obviously need her to advance, and she will then run for another 10-year term on April 2nd against the lefty backed opponent, Megna or Fallone. Both are terrible candidates, one's a Lemon Law lawyer (seriously) and the other is from the ivy-covered walls of academia (who wants nothing more than to vote with Crooks, Bradley, and Big Shirley and strike down Act 10, not to mention Voter ID, and any other Walker reforms). So much for being non-political, huh?
Below is another reason we need to win big on Feb. 19th (from Dave A):
"J R Ross of WisPolitics was on with Jay Weber and made an interesting point. Outside money will dominate this race. If Roggensack has a strong showing in the Feb. primary it will likely discourage outside money from committing to either Dem candidate in the General election in April. He mentioned the previous Annette Ziegler Supreme Court race where there was a 3 person primary. Ziegler got 51% in the primary and outside parties figured it was a foregone conclusion she would win the General too so they stayed away."
This election is just as important as the Prosser/Kloppenberg race was a couple years ago.
The Supreme Court, while not supposed to be partisan, is currently anything but. Four are viewed as Conservative leaning (including Roggensack), and three are definitely not. Let's keep it that way. Please do your part. If you know of anyone who needs an absentee ballot, go to your city hall and take care of that.
Thank you all! VOTE on Feb. 19th!!!!
