Friend;
The Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was in Milwaukee yesterday, and she said some pretty horrific things about my husband Scott. But worse than that, she did so by belittling victims of domestic violence to try and score cheap political points.
She said, "Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back."
Our family has been through a lot, but this is a new low for Democrats.
To use language and imagery of domestic violence is absolutely unacceptable. My husband recognizes the real challenges of those affected by domestic violence, and that's why his administration has invested nearly $15 million into protecting the victims of domestic abuse.
We can't allow this type of offensive rhetoric from Mary Burke's allies to continue.
Please consider contributing to our campaign today to put a stop to these Democrats.
Sincerely,
Tonette Walker
