Recently, I announced my plan to bring 250,000 new jobs to Wisconsin by the end of my first term.

Naysayers said it couldn't be done.

But we’ve proven naysayers wrong before! We’ve taken on the political machine in Milwaukee and won – cutting our debt by 10%, reducing the county government work force by 20%, and introducing eight consecutive budgets with zero increase to the property tax levy from the previous year.

And what’s more, we can bring 250,000 jobs to Wisconsin – we already have.

Governor Tommy Thompson brought 258,000 new jobs to Wisconsin during his first term. We did it then, and we can do it again!
