Press Release: Republican Party of Dane County Endorses Tammy Baldwin

The Republican Party of Dane County (RPDC) typically does not endorse pre-primary, but never have we felt stronger about a candidate than about Tammy Baldwin.

Having held her Congressional seat for 12 years, Rep. Baldwin hasn’t initiated a single noteworthy bill that ultimately passed, but nobody likes an over-achiever! Besides, we know she’s involved in lots of other important things in Washington, like membership in key Congressional caucuses, including the Congressional Wine Caucus, the Congressional Fitness Caucus, the Congressional Soccer Caucus and the Congressional Bike Caucus.

If Wisconsin voters have sent one message this past 12 months it’s that they want representatives to put their own interests aside and vote for whatever the DNC and AFL-CIO tell them to. And there’s no more reliable vote than Tammy Baldwin, who’s voted with Democrats 97% of the time.

Tammy Baldwin voted against the debt limit deal last month that didn’t cut any real government spending because it didn’t hike taxes enough. Clearly she’s in touch with her constituents. If there’s one message that always has success in Wisconsin, it’s promising voters their taxes will be raised. And let’s not forget Ms. Baldwin’s consistent support for funding the terrorist group Hamas, and her fierce opposition to anybody attempting to reduce the US government’s blank check to that group.

The National Journal, perhaps the leading non-partisan insider political publication, rated Baldwin the most liberal member of Congress. Out-of-state rioters that have been bused in by the AFL-CIO to trash the Wisconsin Capitol assured us they represent all of Wisconsin. They’ll support the most liberal candidate in the race, so Wisconsinites, too, will naturally vote for Tammy Baldwin.

The Republican Party of Dane County gives permission to Ms. Baldwin to place our endorsement on her website. In fact, we encourage her to do so. Our suggested language:

“The Republican Party of Dane County cannot think of a better candidate for the Democrats to nominate for Senate than Tammy Baldwin”
