AFSCME lost 34,000 of their 62,000 WI members in one year. So much for the Solidarity movement and the Communist Workers fist. Just a rough estmate, but 34,000 members, with dues of say $1,000/year, is a loss of $34,000,000 to Marty Beil's fiefdom. That's $34 million that won't be going straight to the Democrats.
We don't how many have left WEAC, but with approximately 100,000 members before Act 10, one would think at least 35,000 (most folks think about 35% of WEAC's members are Republican) have left, or will leave. If WEAC loses say 50,000 members (a conservative estimate since most will quit once they realize their union serves no purpose), at again say, $1,000/person/year, Mary Bell and the other homely girls will be out a cool $50,000,000. That's $50 million that won't be going straight to the Democrats.
Do your friends understand why they occupied the Capitol last winter? Do they understand this is why they've had a 16-month tantrum? Forced dues suck. This proves it.
