Thank you letter from Scott Brown

Dear xxxxxxx,

You and I have waged a great campaign, and I couldn't have asked for better allies and friends to see it through. We stood strong in the fight, and we stand strong now, even in disappointment.

I said at the very beginning, back when my campaign began in January, that win or lose we would run a race to be proud of. And we did.

When I took up this cause, I knew the work was bigger and harder than anything I could do on my own. I asked for a lot of help, and I received it. I knew I couldn't do it alone, and I didn't.

I'm not sure what comes next for me, except a lot of time back at home with the family come January. Whatever the future holds, I'm a fortunate man to have been where I've been, and to return to a place I love.

We set out, three years ago, to accomplish something worthy, all the more so because it was hard. And we did just that. You and I are witnesses to the truth that ideals, effort, and strength of heart can overcome any odds.

We gave three years of independent representation in the Senate, and that's three years more than some states ever get. We led a cause that deserved and received all that we could give it. For me, it was an honor to carry your flag, if even for a little while, and I thank you for that privilege.

Sincerely,

Scott Brown
