Very interesting analysis from Lizzie, who we follow on Twitter. We all feel like crap, but maybe all is not lost here. We must keep at it. We have nowhere better to go.

Wisconsin Presidential Election Numbers Actually Good for Conservatives
My immediate reaction to Tuesday's election and having to give our ten electoral votes to Obama was despair. Today though, I sat down and looked at the numbers, it actually looked better for conservatives than liberals in this state.
I gathered my numbers from the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections, 2010 Gubernatorial and the 2012 Recall Elections (here, here, here and here) and found some very interesting numbers.
This election Obama had 56,524 less votes than he had in 2008, while Romney had 150,562 more votes than McCain had in 2008. In total votes cast in Wisconsin there was a 94,038 increase. So, of all of those additional votes, Romney took all of them, plus 56,524 away from Obama. That is a net gain for Wisconsin conservatives and loss for liberals.
When you look at the increase of votes in the 2010 Gubernatorial Election compared to the 2012 Recall Election this past June, the gap is very prominent. Barrett voters increased by 157,777 votes in the recall, but Walker increased his vote count by 206,291 votes. Conservatives were able to not only keep an upward momentum in our votes, but take that increase completely away from the left.
This is a clear picture that Wisconsin is moving red. Although we were unable to overcome the gap this Presidential Election, we were able to make great headway in closing it. Keep your heads up fellow conservatives, we are making real progress.
