Remember, Watergate happened early in an election year, 1972, and by 1973, it doomed Nixons' second term until he was forced to resign in 1974. Benghazigate also happened in an election year, and by 2013, who knows where this could lead.
Without a Woodward & Bernstein on the trail, it will be up to the American people to force this issue.
